Wildlife, plants and peat – A walk with Moors for the Future

June 20, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

June is a great time to get out on to the moors and in this walk, led by the Moors for the Future partnership, we will look for moorland plants and wildlife and see the effects of conservation work carried out on the damaged areas of the moor. Some rough terrain, so walking boots and appropriate outdoor clothing essential. The walk will take approximately 3 hours and cover a distance of around 4-5 miles. Meet at 10.00 at the gate adjacent to Turvin Road at the start to the path to White Holme Reservoir (SD 978187). Parking available in nearby roadside laybys. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a short lead.
