Meet Jill Liddington from Mytholmroyd Walkers’ Action at Hebden Bridge Railway Station at 11.00 for a 4.5 mile easy/moderate walk in the footsteps of Lavena Saltonstall, Calderdale’s most celebrated suffragette.  The route skirts the Hebden hillsides, visiting homes of local campaigners and fustian clothing factories where they worked.  It ends in the town square where Emmeline Pankhurst addressed a tumultuous crowd in January 1907 on Votes for Women.  Suitable for children aged 12+. Bring lunch.  No dogs.
